Why is this a worthy cause?

All of the money donated to 50 Families stays in Converse County to support Memorial Hospital of Converse County and to help improve healthcare right here in our community and for our community.

Where has the money gone the last couple of years?

Late in 2024 we purchased a Vocera communication system for the hospital – in non-hospital speak it’s an intercom system that allows instant communication within and between departments in the hospital to improve efficiency and help get all the staff what and who they need when the need it. In 2025 we purchased a new vehicle for the ride share program that shuttles folks from Douglas to Casper for treatments that aren’t yet available in Douglas as well as around town for therapy or other appointments as needed.In 2025 we gave 14 scholarships to Douglas High School Students who are going on to pursue a degree in a healthcare related field. We also gave three scholarships to students pursuing a healthcare related degree at Eastern Wyoming College here in town. Each year we fund the utilities for our local hospitality house, Bobbi’s House where patients and/or family of patients of the hospital can stay for very little while in town for procedures that require.

Where will the money go this year?

Money donated this year will again go to funding our scholarship program as well as Bobbi’s House. The hospital is also undergoing quite a fabulous renovation on the second floor right now and we expect there will be an opportunity to contribute that comes up.
